主讲人简介：
费拉里教授现任美国加州大学伯克利分校古希腊与罗马研究系讲席教授，研究生主管；国际知名古典哲学家，特别以对柏拉图、古希腊诗学和语言哲学研究见长；主编剑桥版的柏拉图《理想国》（Tom Griffith翻译, 2000）和《剑桥<理想国>指南》（Cambridge Companion to Plato’s Republic, Cambridge University Press, 2007）；出版三本专著：《听蝉：柏拉图<斐德罗>研究》（Listening to the Cicadas, Cambridge: Cambridge Univeristy Press, 1987），《柏拉图<理想国>中的城邦与灵魂》（City and Soul in Plato's Republic, Sankt Augustin: Academia Verlag, 2003），《我们发出的信息：社会信号与故事讲述》（The Messages We Send: Social Signals and Storytelling, Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2017）；发表多篇在古典学领域影响深远的论文。
